What can you expect during treatment?

Many of our providers are specially-trained to perform the MonaLisa Touch® procedure. Treatment will take place in the comfort of our offices and the active lasering will typically last less than 5 minutes.

• A pelvic exam is first performed to ensure you are a good candidate and don’t have any active infections.
• A light numbing cream is applied to vaginal opening and vulva.
• A sterile insertion ring is placed to prevent the laser from rubbing against your labia.
• A wand-shaped laser will deliver gentle energy pulses to treatment areas – usually both the internal vaginal skin and outer vulva skin. The active treatment lasts approximately 5 minutes and patients report feeling painless bursts of vibrations.

Most women find they don’t need any downtime or experience any pain after treatment. You may need to refrain from sexual activity for a few days, but your provider will guide your aftercare based on your individual needs.
