In-Office Procedures
When your provider recommends having any type of procedure — whether it be to diagnose, prevent, screen, or treat a condition — it’s important to explore how it will affect your daily life, both during and after the procedure.
In-office procedures are a safe and effective option to support your unique medical needs all while providing greater convenience, less stress, and shorter recovery times than typically found in a hospital setting.
Convenient. Comfortable. Comprehensive.
At Seven Hills, we put you first – our expertly trained physicians use state-of-the-technology to offer you outpatient procedures from the comfort of our convenient neighborhood locations.
These minimally invasive, incisionless procedures do not require general anesthesia. At times, your doctor may recommend local anesthesia to help reduce any potential discomfort.
In-Office Procedures Available at Seven Hills
Diagnostic Procedures
Colposcopy: During this simple and quick procedure, your provider will use a special magnifying instrument to look at the cells of your cervix, vulva, or vagina. If necessary, they will take a biopsy to test the abnormal cells.
Endometrial biopsy: During this quick procedure, your provider will take a small tissue sample from your endometrium — the lining of your uterus — to help diagnose the cause of heavy or abnormal menstrual bleeding.
Urodynamics: This group of tests are used to study how well the bladder, sphincters, and urethra are storing and releasing urine. Urodynamics tests help your provider diagnose and treat urine leakage, painful urination, frequent urination, sudden urges to urinate, and problems emptying your bladder.
Screening Procedures
Dexa Scan: The gold standard for measuring bone density, this painless x-ray can show early warning signs for osteoporosis as well as confirm a diagnosis. Visit our Osteoporosis page to learn more about who may benefit from a scan.
Preventative Procedures
LEEP: A Loop Electrosurgical Excision Procedure is a preventative measure against cervical cancer. Using a small electrical wire loop, your provider will safely and effectively remove any abnormal cells in your cervix that were found during a colposcopy (cervical biopsy).
Treatment Procedures
Endometrial Ablation: This minimally invasive procedure uses precisely measured radiofrequency to remove the lining of your uterus, helping to reduce heavy or prolonged menstrual flow. Visit our endometrial ablation page to learn more about what to expect during and after treatment.
MonaLisa Touch®: This virtually painless procedure uses laser energy to treat the causes of painful intercouse and other common symptoms of menopause – including mild urinary incontinence. Visit our Mona Lisa page to learn more about the three 5-minute treatments that don’t require any downtime.
